the Android handsets is shown off by Huawei earlier in this month. One of those devices was the Huawei IDEOS X5. The company did not reveal the entire features of the upcoming device at the time. Now, the company has just released the specs of the device.

The Huawei IDEOS X5,  runs on  Android 2.2 Froyo, will come with a 3.8-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800×480 and support for multi-touch.With 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and 720p video capture capabilities.

You will be getting A-GPS, an integrated compass and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity with A2DP. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack, along with support for Flash Player 10.1.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc is a bizzare-looking handset with a curved form (hence the Arc name) and dimensions of 4.92 x 2.48 x 0.34 (125 x 63 x 8.7 mm). It sports a 4.2-inch screen with a resolution of 480×854 and an 8-megapixel camera. Under the hood, the phone has a 1GHz Qualcomm processor, while Gingerbread is running the Arc show.

How to Delete Quarantined Files in Symantec Anti virus

 

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\Quarantine

• Open the Quarantine Folder and delete all data
• After deleting the Quarantine also Space will remain
• The Quarantine Folder are located at two places

i. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\Quarantine

ii. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\SRTSP

How to Give Administrator permission to the Quarantine folder

• After following this step now open the Quarantine folder and delete all data

Google's Cr-48 Chrome notebook

Apple patents for glasses-free, 3D Display system

 

Apple has been granted a patent for a projection system that can enable multiple viewers to simultaneously view 3D images without the need for those dorky 3D glasses.

At its core the system involves a screen, projector, sensor, and a 3D imager, which work together to allow multiple viewers to perceive 3D images from nearly any position in a room without glasses. This flexible autostereoscopic 3D effect is achieved by tracking user's positions and projecting pixels onto a reflective, textured surface that then bounces separate images into the left and right eye. Virtual interaction methods with the 3D projections are also described in the document, implying the technology has aspirations beyond passive viewing.

 

Verizon Wireless Hosts 4G LTE

 

Verizon has just announced that they will be holding a news conference on December 1st to detail the launch of its next-generation, 4G, LTE network. With plans to go-live in “38 metropolitan areas, covering more than 110 millon people” before the end of the year, this would be the world’s largest LTE deployment. While the network is set to go live before 2011, customers will have to wait until early next year for LTE-compatible handsets to start making the rounds.The event kicks off at 12PM and we'll make sure to tune in, if only to find out what Tony's answer is to the inevitable "what is 4G" question.

BlackBerry 8980 Folks By FCC

 

The BlackBerry 8980 has been outed by the good folks at the FCC.  Likely the sequel to the Curve 8900, the 8980 is packing quad-band GSM/EDGE radios, a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, optical trackpad, a physical QWERTY keyboard, and the usual Bluetooth/WiFi trimmings you'd expect in a smartphone.
The last time we saw the 8980, so it's good to see the 8900 successor show its face once again.  The 8900 was one of the more handsome handsets made by RIM in recent memory, and the 8980 seems like it's going to be a looker, too.  It's tough to tell right now, but judging by the FCC's photo of the device, it looks like RIM took the Bold 9700/9780's body and bolted a Curve keyboard on it to make the 8980.  There's no word on which carrier(s) will launch the 8980, but as with most GSM 'Berries, it's probably a safe bet that both AT&T and T-Mobile will be on board.Add 3G, though, and they've got a desperately-needed new model to slot in underneath the Bold.The Curve 8980 doesn’t run BlackBerry OS 6, but OS 5. Of course, RIM might want to update the handset’s OS sometime after launch (or even before it).

Google TV Already ln Trouble

 

Google has big plans for its Google TV platform, their plan was to get a Google TV device into every home, either via a set top box or a Google TV enabled TV, but there are now signs that the platform may be in trouble. The Google TV platform was released just over a month

The first Google TV device, the Logitech Revue, this was quickly followed by Google TV enabled TVs from Sony.

Now Sony are offering discounts of 25 percent off their Blu-ray Google TV units, which normally doesn’t happen so soon after a products launch unless there is a lack of demand for it.

One of the major problems with Google TV, is the price of the hardware, the cheapest way to get Google TV into your living room is via a Logitech Revue set top box, this will cost you $300, compare this to Apple TV which costs $99, although the two platforms are not comparable at the moment as the Apple TV lacks many of the features of Google TV.

Another problem that Google TV has faced, is content being blocked by TV studios, many have blocked Google TV from accessing their videos which can normally be viewed on their websites.

Former World Champion Vladimir Kramnik vs Robot blitz game in chess

 

For almost as long as we've had computers, humans have been trying to make ones that play chess. The most famous chess-playing computer of course is IBM's Deep Blue, which in 1997 defeated the then World Champion Garry Kasparov. But as powerful as Deep Blue was, it didn't actually move the chess pieces on its own. Perhaps that's a trivial task in comparison to beating the best chess player of all-time.

As for how it works, it should be noted that the robot is not actually seeing the board, but rather is connected to it. As the pieces are fitted with sensors, the robot can detect when they are moved, and responds appropriately. The hand portion of the robot is a three-prong system which can open and close to grasp and release pieces.

The Chess Terminator does have some flaws, however. Note that around the 2:45 mark Kramnik extends his hand offering a draw, but the robot – since it's not fitted with any kind of optical device – just keeps playing, very nearly taking off Kramnik's hand in the process!

The result of this particular match was a draw in the end, but look forward to possibly more human vs robot games in the future, because short blitz matches like these are certainly a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Palm Mansion Releasing in 5-Inch Display

 

 

According to the rumor, the Palm Mansion will feature the larger display with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution and it will be released sometime in the “first half of 2011″ which doesn’t give us a lot to work with, but it’s a start.

The five-inch smartphone could finally turn out to be a different device altogether, as Palm has a handful expected for launch. Could it be the upcoming device codenamed Stringray? We could only theorize at best. Palm, recently acquired by HP, is still quiet about its upcoming devices, but it could well be the kind of silence before a storm. The company has two devices in the making and both are set to make an appearance early next year, the Palm Mansion and the PalmPad.

iPad 2 Suppliers Revealed

 

Digitimes has revealed the initial parts suppliers for the up coming iPad 2 that is expected in  next year.

The companies involved at the moment include Ibiden, Tripod Technology and TTM who are responsible for the PCBs. More companies are expected to join around February time when the iPad 2 will start being mass produced ready for a launch a month or two later.
