How to Delete Quarantined Files in Symantec Anti virus

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\Quarantine

  • Open the Quarantine Folder and delete all data
  • After deleting the Quarantine also Space will remain
  • The Quarantine Folder are located at two places

i. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\Quarantine

ii. C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\SRTSP

.:.While opening the Quarantine folder it show this error.:.

.:. i.e:-- C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\SRTSP\Quarantine is not accessible (Access is denied)

.:.How to open Quarantine folder.:.

  • C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\SRTSP Path
  • Right click on Quarantine folder and select properties
  • Go to security option and give the administrator permission to that folder
  • In any case the security option has been disable position

.:.Follow this Steps.:.

  • Open my computer
  • Go to View->select Tools option->Folder options->View
  • Remove the tick mark on for show pop-up description folder and desktop items
  • Apply and Click ok

How to Give Administrator permission to the Quarantine folder

  • Right Click on Quarantine folder
  • Select properties

  • Select Security option

  • Select Advanced option->click on Add option
  • Select Advanced option->Find

  • Select Administrator option
  • Click ok->Ok->Ok->Ok
  • After following this step now open the Quarantine folder and delete all data
  • It take more time to open the folder wait for min until the file shows
  • Select all Delete all data
